Choose the game first. FireStorm asks how you are tracking the cube second.
Use standard 3×3 face notation: U D R L F B with optional 2 or '. FireStorm will normalize and save the sequence with the result.
FireStorm will connect and prepare only the cube needed for this game.
The scramble and your result are already recorded. Pick the objective and FireStorm will create the challenge with your solve as the opening target.
All completed results from this scramble will travel with the challenge and seed its leaderboard.
Your Challenge Library is stored locally. Receive a challenge by scanning its FireStorm QR or by importing its link.
Every FireStorm challenge needs a real starting target before it is sent to another player. Complete the challenge once yourself so FireStorm can store the starting time, move count, and FireStorm Score.
Everyone gets the same scramble. When updated challenge links come back, FireStorm merges the returned results into the standings.

Connect the cube, solve it, then hold YELLOW up and GREEN front. FireStorm requires a fresh calibration before this attempt.
Competitive cubing for every solving level—with regular cubes, smart cubes, local races, and remote challenges.
Practice by yourself, race side by side, take turns on one display, and turn any worthwhile result into a challenge you can replay or share.

Everyone solves the same scramble together. Regular cubes tap to finish; supported smart cubes can stop automatically.
Players solve the same scramble one at a time. Use ordinary cubes or share one connected smart cube.
FireStorm guides the scramble and uses its on-screen timer. Add move count when the result needs full FS scoring.
FireStorm tracks turns, timing, move count, scramble verification, and solved state automatically.

Solve the physical cube, hold Yellow up and Green front, and calibrate again.
Use FireStorm’s Full Screen button where supported. On iPhone, adding FireStorm to the Home Screen gives the cleanest web-app presentation.
The browser must expose Bluetooth support, or use the native FireStorm app when available. Regular-cube Friendly play works without Bluetooth.
Choose Solo for yourself, Local Race when everyone solves together, and Take Turns when players solve one at a time. After that, choose Regular Cube or Smart Cube for tracking.
WELCOME TO FIRESTORM
Take a quick tour of the game modes, controls, scoring, smart-cube setup, and remote challenges—or go straight to the game.
Who this is for: FireStorm is designed for people who already know how to solve a 3×3 cube.
Start solved: Each player starts with a solved cube. Tap Start Round to show the scramble.
Scramble: Hold the cube with yellow on top and green facing you. Everyone applies the same scramble. When everyone is ready, tap Hide Scramble & Start Game.
Inspection: Setup can turn on optional 5, 10, or 15 second inspection. When inspection is on, Hide Scramble & Start Game starts inspection first. The final 3-2-1-GO is part of the inspection window. Skip Inspection jumps to the final countdown only while more than 3 seconds remain, so it cannot add extra time.
Race: When the countdown reaches GO, solve your cube, then tap your player pad as soon as you finish.
Move count: Each player keeps track of their own moves. This is the hardest part of the manual version, and it depends on honesty. A normal face turn counts as one move, and a half-turn like R2, U2, or B2 also counts as one move. Do your best; being within a few moves is usually good enough for casual play.
Tip: Knowing the move count of your common algorithms helps. For example, if you know a particular insert or algorithm is six moves, that can help you stay on track while counting.
Scoring objectives: Setup lets you choose Fastest Time, Fewest Moves, or FireStorm Score. FireStorm still records and displays all three statistics; the selected objective determines the winner and receives the strongest visual emphasis.
FireStorm Score: Lower is better. FS Score = Moves × 3 + Scoring Seconds × 2. In manual table-race mode, the app gives a 0.5 second tap credit before scoring, because you have to finish the cube, release it, and hit your pad. This is usually a one-point credit. The goal/par line is still 300.
Score Bonus: To make mixed-skill races more fun, FireStorm has a handicap-style Score Bonus. The bonus is subtracted from your FS Score only when Adjusted Scores are shown. Better players still usually win, but newer players are not buried by hundreds of points.
Adjusted Scores button: Tap Show Adjusted Scores or Hide Adjusted Scores to switch between raw FS Score and adjusted scoring. This can change the winner of a round, because adjusted scoring includes each player’s Score Bonus.
Choosing a bonus: You can use the preset bonus levels in Setup, or choose From avg FS Score if you know your average FireStorm Score, not just your average moves. The app uses 300 as the scratch target and gives you 80% of the gap. Example: if your average FS Score is 360, then 360 − 300 = 60, and 60 × 0.8 = 48. Your Score Bonus would be 48.
Sound & haptics: FireStorm now uses the same fixed WAV countdown cues on every platform, routed through one loudness/limiter chain so the 3-2-1-GO start is more consistent and more obvious. Phones also receive a best-effort vibration pulse with each cue when the browser permits it. iPhone and iPad may still require one tap before web audio can play.
Sound status: not tested yet.
Android install: Android only opens FireStorm full screen when Chrome installs it as a real web app. If Chrome says Create shortcut, that shortcut will still open with the browser address bar. The install button below can only work after Chrome decides the page is installable.
If this still says Chrome has not offered the prompt, run the Android Install Check below.
Install guide: For iPhone, iPad, Android, desktop, and offline setup instructions, open the standalone install page.
Gameplay modes: Simultaneous Manual uses the shared 3D guided scramble, then returns everyone to the tabletop race. Sequential Manual guides and times one player at a time. Sequential Smart Cube repeats one connected cube for each player. Simultaneous Smart Cubes assigns one cube to each player, waits for every cube at each scramble step, then tracks every timer and move count automatically.
